Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. The actress is American stage and film actor. Her most notable role as Teri her passionate lawyer Teri Jospehson, on the Showtime show Soul Food. Contractor was a classical ballet student in Toronto. Additionally, she excelled academically. At the Etobicoke School of the Arts (a public high school specializing in the arts), Contractor studied both ballet and theater. Contractor was 16 when she realized that acting was going to become her profession. She danced for almost 10 year. She was awarded a full scholarship to attend the University of Toronto after graduating. The university offered her master's degree in theater and also double-majored in psychology and social science. Contractor was a participant in the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After an entire year of auditions, she was offered the lead part. The show she played in 92 performances received acclaim from Canadian reviewers. The conservatory at Stratford accepts eight men with four females, and a handful of others for a weeks of crash courses. The actor's involvement in the upcoming season of plays was confirmed, and she received the role in Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
