In 2014 Wilsons fame exploded over the pond in a greater way after she was cast on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman with a dark past who gets involved with the husband of her dreams, Noah Solloway. Wilson received an award for her performance, the Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama, alongside Mauratierney as well as Joshua Jackson.
